The Heartland Activity and Wellness Connection, Inc. (The HAWC) nonprofit corporation organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes, specifically to provide holistic services to benefit the overall health and well being of community members in a rural area.
We further our purposes under this program by conducting the following activities: After completing construction of the facility in the Spring of 2017, a variety of healthcare services will be invited to utilize space in the facility including, but not limited to, chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, behavioral health, naturopathic medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, medication management, etc. The non-profit is currently seeking donations to start construction on there community health center and gymnasium.
The HAWC is a non-profit organization that works closely with the behavioral health clinic, A Better Connection, Inc. (ABC).
A Better Connection, Inc. provides mental health counseling along with non-residential chemical dependency services for adults and adolescents. We specialize in many forms of therapy and group treatments.
A variety of therapeutic techniques are used during individual, family, and group psychotherapy depending on need.
Chemical Dependency, Addictions, Nutrition Guidance, Eating Disorders, Difficult Behaviors, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Grief and Loss Trauma, Domestic Violence, Somatic Experiencing, Play Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Personality Disorders, Chronic Pain Management, Mood Disorders, Stress Management, Spiritual Counseling, Parenting Support, and Rule 25 Assesments and Diagnostic Assessments with/without Chemical Dependency Evaluations.
